The 30-Day ROAR Challenge (And 6 Tweaks To Rise)
Your best life isn’t found in another TikTok scroll. Here’s what actually works.
We’re all stuck in the same loop:
Daydream about change → Get overwhelmed → Binge Netflix → Repeat.
Why? Your brain's addiction to “safe” suffering. It’s why you MUST challenge yourself to progress.
New actions help you transition from scrolling through TikTok to taking steps that benefit you. Overcoming fear helps to reduce the intensity of anxiety and make progress. Idea storms help to activate your hidden creativity.
…and 3 more brain tweaks below.
I traded 30 days of comfort for 86,400 seconds of ‘what if?’ It taught me that your ‘best life’ is 6 uncomfortable yeses away. Here’s what exploded.
Over the last 4 years, I said “yes” to:
Personal Development → This challenge → Spirituality
Programming → Learning English → Moving Toward Dreams
Writing → SMM → Entrepreneurship
But it all started with one single idea: "I will do it one more time." By the first week of this challenge, I had overcome my fear of programming.
My cortisol levels dropped 99% (Whoop data don’t lie). I started to live with a smile again and a passion. Taking this challenge was one of my best decisions in life.
Here's how you can follow the same way:
1. Novelty (Be a "First-Time Tourist")
Do 1 thing daily that makes you whisper, "WTF am I doing?" There's no "climb Everest" goal but doing something completely different from your daily routine.
Think about:
→ Meet with people offline & online (who knows how they can change your life)
→ Take a new bus route to work or order the menu’s #13 (I hope there won't be bull's balls in there)
→ Learn TikTok dances with your grandma or dive into a new language and culture
Novelty makes you feel alive and feel good. Just like in your childhood. Novelty = neurogenesis fertilizer. Every “first” literally grows new brain cells.
Want to make it more fun? Fail publicly. Yeah, you get it right.
My first Spanish conversation was when I knew only 4 phrases (but couldn't comprehend anything else). I found a study buddy; we hopped on a call and laughed in English about my strategy. This call helped me to learn a few words and find a 'free' tutor’.
By trying, you don't take risks but progress.
2. Fear (The 7-Second Rule)
When fear hits, move within 7 seconds. The body manages your actions, not the brain. Focus on using your brain to take action before your body can even react to your intentions.
Examples:
→ Text mentors before Googling “how to sound smart.”
→ Hit “publish” before editing your tweet 17x
→ Book the solo trip before checking weather apps
Your main priority is "DO" before you even can analyze it. You can outrun your inner critic in just 7 seconds because it's the duration of your brain's lag time.
I used to avoid starting to code because I thought you needed to learn it for years in university. But when I started this challenge, I just applied to a free marathon, and suddenly everything turned out to be much simpler than I imagined.
Don't overcomplicate and do what you want (you never regret trying).

3. Ideation (Release 10 Ideas Daily)
Brain-dump 10 ideas before breakfast. Not “good” ideas also work. Because ideas, like seeds, become better with time.
Some prompts:
→ “What if cats ran Uber?”
→ “Tinder for plant swaps.”
→ “Underwater polka festivals.”
You can use business motivation ideas to become the next Steve Jobs. The craziest ideas often become the most useful. Think of this exercise as a tool to think “outside the box,” to break out of the cycle of familiar things.
In this case, quantity is often better than quality. Use ChatGPT as your assistant with the next prompt: “Roast my 10 ideas and pick the craziest.”
That's how you evolve, just by forcing yourself to think new.

4. SHARING: (“Steal My Secrets” Strategy)
Teach others 1 thing daily, even if you’re clueless. This will help you to establish closer connections with other people. No matter how silly it may look in your eyes.
Examples:
→ Explain Instagram trends to your dad (laugh together as a reward)
→ Post a Reel about your failed pancakes (“How to burn breakfast in 2D”)
→ Host a “What I Fail At” Zoom call (help others to avoid your mistakes)
When you teach something, you also build bridges with others. Every piece of information you share helps you make deeper connections with others because it deletes friction and tension between you and others.
Plus, teaching = turbocharged learning. You retain 90% vs. 10% from passive reading.
Just like teaching your child English via online resources only to hear, "Hey, brother."
5. HELP (The “Invisible Good” Game)
Help 1 stranger every day without being asked. It will make you happy. Really. Nothing feels better than someone sincerely thankful to you.
Consider the following ideas:
→ Make a cup of tea/coffee for your family (just to cheer them up)
→ Leave a book on a bench with a “For you, stranger” note.
→ Email a creator, “This line changed me.”
Kindness costs nothing but makes both others and you feel better. Altruism can boost your mood even more than a laugh with a friend.
I remember buying groceries and sweets from my first scholarship for a stressed mom. She has reminded me about this for years.
It taught me that doing good deeds creates memories, strengthens connections, and makes you feel good. Now, I see the smile on her face each time we speak about sweets.
Worth it? Definitely yes! Good things are not "useless." They are things that change your life and the lives of others.
6. ENJOY (The “Cheat Code” Mindset)
Do 1 thing purely for your joy. It’s how you get out of depression. Zero “productivity” allowed. Your life isn't only robotic "good" and "bad," but more about living with meaning, love, and joy.
So let your inner child lead:
→ Dance/Sing to 2000s rock songs (Skillet, Linkin Park, anything else)
→ Build a blanket fort with relatives (become a CEO of Coziness)
→ Watch clouds & name them (“That’s Kevin, he’s a drama queen”)
Life is full of difficulties and everyone faces their share. But... After even the darkest night there is always a dawn.
Joy is your ANTIFRAGILE armour. The more you play, the more resilient you become.
Most people live in cages built of "shoulds," obeying social scripts, family expectations, or imaginary rules. But "feeling good" begins when you stop pleasing people.
Take an antidote and start playing with your rhythm!
