Language Learning Can Be Fun (If You Know What To Do)
Engaging Methods to Ignite Your Passion for Languages
Happy New Year!
Welcome to ROAR!
Today, we’re excited to share how language learning can bring fun and opportunities.
Let's start with the SECRET SAUCE you rarely find in school.
Learning a language shouldn’t be boring!
If something interests you, it will bring motivation and results will appear faster.
How can this be achieved?
Take the sweets and a cup of tea, we get started.
1. Create A Plan For Your Education.
When your dream guides you, everything along the way becomes easier.
You can create goals as usual to learn the language and never start.
Because you don’t know how learning a language can help.
If something hasn’t any meaning, why spend time on it?
💡Initially, you find your dream (or problems to cope with) and then create a plan.
A new language can solve so many problems that the list can be endless.
You meet new people, new ideas and new opportunities arise.
If you want to improve your life, ANY language helps with it.
But, some fit us more and some less.
→ So write down a list of your 5 biggest desires and 5 biggest problems.
Then think about how learning a language can help with things from your list.
That’s your real “WHY” to learn.
And when you know these things, everything else becomes just a matter of time.
You can self-learn, hire a teacher or create some innovative method.
Everything depends only on your goals.
Here are the basics you should consider when learning a language:
Basics → Learn the alphabet, transcription of words and how it is pronounced
General skills → Study most used vocabulary and basics of grammar (to express yourself)
Listening → Watch YouTube with subtitles, listen to podcasts or enjoy your favourite music
Speaking → Record yourself with free speech or find someone to talk with (like in Discord)
Reading → Choose what you love and use Google Translate to understand meaning
Writing → The best way is chatting but you can start by journaling your thoughts of the day
It may not be easy at first, but if you team up with others, put in the effort and the learning matches your ambitions, it will all work out!
💡A vision board can help you to create a more sustainable plan, here is how it works.
2. Learn Together Using Apps.
One of the best methods to start learning a language is to unite efforts with others.
To simplify the initial preparation and demolish worries, apps like Duolingo work the best.
So you don’t need to look for resources to learn.
All you need is to follow the rules and do the work.
Just to get started.
The best thing about learning together is that you can motivate and support each other.
You can do it whether with friends, family members or soulmates.
It creates accountability and makes the process more fun.
When you unite with someone, share your struggles and go to the one purpose, it naturally:
Creates anticipation.
Give you the power to continue.
Increase motivation.
The problem is you can’t learn the language just by the app.
At some moments you will get a dead end.
Learning with others is a core to maintaining your motivation and apps serve as a powerful first step but that’s not the only way, just the most comfortable in the beginning.
Our recommendation:
Use apps to learn a language for around 1-2 months.
Share your progress and experience with someone who is on the same road.
Try new more advanced ways when you are ready to level up.
With apps, you can learn the basics and get started.
Then you can take it one step further.

3. Active Practice With Social Media.
When you already know the basics, you start to think about how to increase the level.
And here the non-standard but funny method comes in the way.
Use social media as leverage to learn your language.
The main idea of learning through social networks is to learn a language while engaging in creativity.
You can immerse yourself in a creative business, express yourself and have fun.
Let’s take the X as an example of how everything works.
It’s a treasury place for all language learners, entrepreneurs and creative individuals.
How it works?
You share your vision to help.
You create connections.
You get the benefits.
On X, everything is filled with creators.
They grow their business, need eyeballs and are glad to connect.
To take the most advantage, focus on:
Read, listen or watch (depending on the content you love).
Give your opinion (preferably support with sincerity).
Reach out to those you click with.
Your opinion matters, your words matter and your actions matter.
Amazingly, you can help others using your creativity while improving your skills and creating friends.
And the best part is that everything feels like a game.
