3 Steps To Start Your Creative Life
Discover Your Passion, Develop Your Skills and Share Your Work With Confidence
In the past article, we studied how to learn languages with fun.
Now we will look at how to take the first step in the creative field by learning a language.
1. The beginning of a creative journey.
When we first started Roar of Soul, we were all beginners in English. Instead of letting this stop us, we decided to focus on writing. This was perfect because writing gave us time to think and learn from our mistakes.
The key is simple:
→ Start with activities that you enjoy and that make you want to take action. Once you're comfortable with them, you can try different ways to express yourself.
Here are five basic types of creative activities to explore:
Creative Writing
Graphic Design
Public Speaking
Digital Drawing
Game Development
These are just some examples of creative activities you can try. You can easily switch between different types whenever you want.
The great thing is that you can begin with any activity that interests you and learn as you go. The most important part is just getting started.
2. Continuous development of skills.
When you have already started your creative journey, the most desirable thing is to grow faster and to benefit from your work. Which tool is best for this? For us, the best tool was journaling.
Journaling is a GOLD mine for connecting with your thoughts and feelings.
Writing down your ideas helps you think more clearly and discover new thoughts you didn't know you had.
No matter what skill you choose, everything you need to do is:
Choose tools you prefer such as a laptop, notebook, or tablet - whatever feels most natural and inspiring for your creative workflow.
If you prefer devices, download and open Notion. Or you can take a pen and pad. The best tool is the one that helps you maintain a consistent creative practice.
ALLOCATE 1-2 hours a day for PRACTICE, not for training, not for setting up, but for real action. It can be writing, drawing or anything.
For example:
Let's say you decide to become a designer. You're excited to start working with colours, shadows, and shapes. Then you can already picture yourself creating beautiful designs that show your unique style.
The real breakthrough comes when you open a canvas and create a design with different goals. If you have learned about colours, you can try to draw a few pictures with a good balance of colours to make them look sexy.
3. Use social media to become a master.
After your first week of learning and creating, you will reach a crucial point: validating whether your creative approach is on the right track. This is where social media platforms become invaluable for growth and feedback.
Sharing your work on social media provides direct feedback, you can expect:
Authentic responses from a diverse audience.
Valuable insights to refine your craft.
Connecting with like-minded creators.
Think of this as a friendly conversation with your audience. It’s not about chasing numbers but gathering feedback that helps you grow as a creator.
Carefully consider the feedback you receive to make informed adjustments, all working towards one objective:
💡GROW AS A PROFESSIONAL in your craft.
